Dandelion Effect

Is it a weed or a wish? What do you see? Our philosophy is that an issue can be the weed and through transforming our perspective, it allows you to see the actual goals or desires you have for your life, your wish. We will help you get there. This program is developed for those that want to go deeper and want more support in their process. Our sessions will provide customized, trauma-informed, holistic online support tailored to individual needs and goals.

You will learn how to mindfully respond to life stressors, rather than automatically react in old, habitual patterns. You will discover the freedom that comes when your mood and quality of life are not so much determined by what happens to you, as by how you interpret and relate to life circumstances. You will reframe your experiences and gain coping skills.

Included in this program:
8 weeks
1 full session a week
5 fifteen minute check ins
4 optional sessions that can include a person or persons that you are struggling with
A wellness plan that can include hygiene, movement, nutrition, mindfulness, and additional other healing modalities

Dandelion Effect for teens

Does your teen seem like a different person? Are you having trouble communicating with your teen? Maybe your teen’s perspective is self-limiting and is keeping them from their best? Does your teen struggle with emotional regulation, social anxiety/engagement, unhappiness, lack of motivation, perfectionism, body image issues, or entitlement?

Do you just have a gut instinct that your teen is not ok? Trust that. So many teens go through these formative years silently suffering.

The dandelion effect for teens is a guided program where we will work with your teen to change the way they see situations, help them gain perspective, produce better time management, and remember that everything will be ok. After our initial intake we will create a customized 8 week program that will enable your teen to manage their specific struggles.

The dandelion effect focuses on a CBT approach to enhance perspective while incorporating other modalities and tools to create a lighter and less stressful existence.

Teens will be expected to journal and do additional “homework assignments” each week that they will grow to appreciate as they see these assignments as tools that will enhance their life and become life tools after the program ends.

in their words
"Carrie is professional, calm, compassionate, and consistent. She was willing to challenge me in the most constructive ways to bring me outside of my typical patterns of thinking. Carrie has worked with me through anxiety, depression, cancer diagnosis and treatment, low self-confidence, body image issues, relationships, and dysfunctional family dynamics. She has been crucial in not only helping me develop tools to work through an active crisis but helping me learn to work through my day-to-day anxieties. I will be forever grateful that I started working with Carrie!"
"Carrie has been working with me for almost two years now on issues regarding disordered eating, negative self talk, and past trauma. She is professional, articulate, and patient in working through my emotions with me. While she is understanding and empathetic, she also encourages me to be a better version of myself by challenging maladaptive behaviors and thought patterns. I’ve worked with several therapists in the past, and none of them have given me the push I needed as much as Carrie has. I’m more confident, optimistic, and open to new experiences than I was two years ago as a result of weekly therapy. I’ve made incredible progress with Carrie as my therapist and I highly recommend her if you want to see noticeable, positive change within your life."
"I was struggling with depression, anxiety and marital issues so I began working with Carrie. She is the first therapist I have seen that has truly understood me and made me feel comfortable and validated for everything I am going through. She has provided me with a safe environment where I do not feel judged, I can be open with my thoughts and she is always empathetic yet honest with me. She has taught me a lot about myself and has given me tools to cope with anxiety and difficult situations. I look forward to my sessions with Carrie each week as she is a constant source of support for me. I highly recommend working with Carrie-she is intelligent, professional and warm; I am very grateful to have a therapist like her at this stage in my life."
